As Bertha von Suttner had chosen A. H. Fried as the trustee of her literary bequest and that, upon her death, he came into possession of the private papers, it has been decided to constitute the papers of both personalities as one sub-fonds subdivided into two parts :
a) material originating from A. H. Fried's activities (Fried Papers) ;
b) material originating from B. von Suttner's activities (Suttner Papers).
Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
The Fried-Suttner papers were purchased in 1931 by the League of Nations Library from the widow of A. H. Fried.
