A concert in honour of the 21st Anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was held at United Nations Headquarters tonight. Artists who performed at the concert were: French pianist Evelyne Crochet, who played composition by Liszt and Albenis; Maria Douglas, a Mexican actress of the Theatre Company of Mexico City, who performed a monologue from Human Rights Day entitled "Voice in the Desert" (concerto for single voice); and one of the most celebrated of Indian classical dancers, Vyjayanthimala, an interpreter of the classical dance from Bharata Natyan.
Miss Angie Brooks of Liberia, president of the twenty-fourth session of the General Assembly, is seen here addressing the gathering at tonight's concert.
