Lester's last report on the political situation in Danzig and the relationships between H. Rauschning and A. Forster; L. Krabbe from the League of Nations Political Section was very busy with the Saar question.
Enclosures: note of an interview with President Rauschning dated 1 March 1934 on Arbeitsfront, Danzig's foreign affairs, and seizure of press "Danziger Volkszeitung", which was a Catholic paper, on account of an article relating to the constitutional position in Danzig; copy of a letter in French dated 2 March 1934 from President Rauschning regarding the seizure by the police of the issue of the "Danziger Volkszeitung" of the 24 February 1934, the Government suffering from Press attacks; and a copy of the article from the "Danziger Volkszeitung" entitled: "Die Wahrung der Danziger Verfassung: eine theoretische Erörterung", which led to the seizure.
