Enclosures: note of an interview with President Rauschning dated 1 March 1934 on Arbeitsfront, Danzig's foreign affairs, and seizure of press "Danziger Volkszeitung", which was a Catholic paper, on account of an article relating to the constitutional position in Danzig; copy of a letter in French dated 2 March 1934 from President Rauschning regarding the seizure by the police of the issue of the "Danziger Volkszeitung" of the 24 February 1934, the Government suffering from Press attacks; and a copy of the article from the "Danziger Volkszeitung" entitled: "Die Wahrung der Danziger Verfassung: eine theoretische Erörterung", which led to the seizure.

Rauschning's confidential adviser, he was arrested on the grounds of disclosure of official secrets; Berendt was a high official connected with the Education Department, he was charged with high treason and disclosure of information to the Polish authorities; Hirschfeld was a German member of the Danziger "Volkstimme" staff.

Stachnik's views (Centre Party): a dissolution would be harmful to Danzig, because National Socialists required a majority to denounce the Polish agreements or to return to Germany, he also criticized A. Greiser's conception of democracy, the catastrophic situation of the public finances and insisted on the fact that the League of Nations was the only guarantor of the Danzig Constitution; Gehl (Social Democratic leader) also referred to the catastrophic economic and financial situation, and to the discontent in the National Socialism Party with the Constitution, for him elections would concern principally the Constitution; A. Greiser's views: no intervention of the League of Nations in Danzig internal affairs, the Senate decided new elections as wished by the majority.

The weekly newspaper "Danziger Volkszeitung" was suspended by order of the Senate for three months, this newspaper was the only remaining organ of the Centre and Catholic Party, a copy of a letter and enclosures received from the editor of the newspaper in question were forwarded by S. Lester to the Secretary-General for information, petition on the subject expected by S. Lester, talk with President H. Rauschning on the subject: he suffered a lot from this newspaper; Catholic Bishop O'Rourke in Rome, desirability of a concordat.
