Correspondence between the Union and their correspondent, Dr. Zagorsky, and between the latter and Geneva Office regarding support of this Service to members of the Union in re-settlement. Includes statutes of the union whose President is V. Sidorine, and Secretary, A. Popov.
During the 1st session of the Refugee Advisory Commission, it was recommended to appeal to organisations and individuals to continue to develop their efforts in order to obtain the largest possible sums for the continuation of the work in favour of the refugees. This recommendation was endorsed by the Assembly at its 10th Ordinary Session and the Advisory Committee of Private Organisations attached to the High Commissioner for Refugees. A circular letter was sent to various private associations and individuals already cooperating with the High Commissioner's Office asking for additional names of organisation and individual to be included in the addressee list of the appeal. Contributions received from the appeal constituted the "Nansen Memorial Fund". The Swedish Committee for the "Nansen Memorial Fund" was dissolved in March 1934.
