The appeal document which entitled "Appeal for a Memorial Fund for the Completion of the Humanitarian Work of Dr. Fridtjof Nansen" or the "Nansen Memorial Fund" was signed by H. E. M. Aristide Briand, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the French Republic; The Rt. Hon. Viscount Cecil of Chelwood, K.C.; H.E. Dr. Julius Curtius, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Reich; H.E. Signor D. File contains correspondence following an appeal made by Mrs. Holmgren to the members of the International Council of Women for a contribution of one penny per head to the Nansen memorial Fund. Ann Margret Holmgren was a member of the Swedish Committee for the Nansen Memorial Fund and a long standing personal friend of Dr. Nansen.She wrote an article in May 1934 inviting the 40 million members of the International Council of Women to contribute 10 cents each to the Nansen Memorial Fund. The Swedish Committee was dissolved in March 1934.

File included letters to potential contributors and dignities asking for support; copies of receipts issued for contributions received.
