Various correspondence, telegrams, notes, memoranda, etc. regarding the liquidation of the Nansen international office and the question of Armenian refugees.

This file contains telegrams, photos, translations of letters and notes raising amongst others the question of the competence of the office in dealing with certain requests as documented by notes exchanged between Major T.F. Johnson [Secretary-General from 1931] and G. Zwerner [member of staff]. The file includes samples of passports proposed by private persons to the Nansen International Office for Refugees.

Correspondence and notes regarding : a request for an opinion from the President of the Nansen International Office about voluntary colonisation by Russian émigrés with agricultural qualifications.

File contains correspondence concerning a project of agricultural colony in France. The project was to create a centre to readapt Russian refugees in the agriculture domain and to integrate them into the French labour force. However, due to the protection of national labour policy and the difficulties in obtaining credits from French banks, the creation of such centre in France was not supported. It was considered more useful to create such centre in "new" countries like Morocco or South America.

File contains correspondence between T.F. Johnson and the Director of International Labour Office proposing to approach the French authorities to resume the introduction of Russian refugee industrial workers into France.
