Opening its fourteenth session, the UN Commission on Human Rights this morning elected Mr. R.S.S. Gunewardene (Ceylon) Chairman; Mr. Karim Azkoul (Lebanon), First Vice-Chairman; Mrs. Zofia Wasilkowska (Poland), Second Vice-Chairman; and Mr. Carlos A. Bertomeu (Argentina), Rapporteur.
Here , Mr. Bertomeu (left), is seen exchanging views with Ambassador Rafael de la Colina, Permanent Representative of Mexico to the UN, shortly before the meeting got under way.
